Phuket – Elephant Hills in Khao Sok At the elephant camp you can see, touch and find out all about the life of Thai elephants and about the elephant conservation project. Later enjoy trekking on the back of an elephant which is a unique experience here in the rainforest. There is no better way to get a bird’s-eye-view of nature. After lunch take a jungle river canoe trip down the Sok River. Drift along the jungle river passing rugged mountains and cliffs covered with exotic tropical vegetation. Some times hornbill can be seen flying high overhead or reptiles basking in the sun on the riverbanks. From the canoe you can experience a world that has changed little in thousands of years, some of the last areas of primary rainforest in the kingdom.

Khao Sok After a good night rest lulled to sleep by the background symphony of insects and frogs it is time for a wholesome breakfast. Explore Khao Sok Lak in the jungle by local boat. The lake is surrounded by high mountains and cliffs covered with tropical rainforest that rise up from the shore of the lake and disappear into the far distance.In the late afternoon return to the camp and meet at the jungle bar and share your experiences with other explorers.

Khao Sok – Phuket Wake up to the sounds of nature and birds calling from the bushes close to the tent. This morning enjoy trekking through the rainforest on foot, accompanied by a knowledgeable forest guide. Explore the ecology of the rainforest, see a great variety of exotic plants, tropical hardwood trees with huge roots, orchids, palms, ferns, bamboos and mosses. Birds such as the hornbill live high up above, gibbon can often be heard calling to their mates, a macaque or leaf monkey may be heard swinging through the branches. Return in the afternoon and transfer to Phuket.
