Day 1
Bangkok – Floating Market – Kanchanaburi – River Kwai
Drive early morning to Damnoen Saduak for a visit to the most colourful and bustling floating market of the Kingdom. Join the busy activities at the market and take a boat trip to explore closely this unique market. Later continue onto Kanchanaburi, on arrival visit the Allied World War II Cemetery and the infamous River Kwai Bridge. After lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to visit an ancient Khmer stone temple of Prasat Muang Singh, or the “lion city”. Later enjoy a boat journey along pristine Kwai Noi River to the remote River Kwai Jungle Rafts. Dinner at the Jungle Rafts, followed by a performance of traditional music and dances from the Mon village.
Day 2
River Kwai – Ayutthaya
Morning at leisure amidst natural beauties on the jungle rafts, before transferring by boat down river to pier. After lunch at a good local restaurant, proceed to nearby Nam Tok Railway Station to board a historic train ride along the Death Railway. Experience a train ride through picturesque scenery passing over the original wooden viaducts, built by prisoners of war during WW II. Later in the afternoon continue a journey by road to Ayutthaya.
Day 3
Ayutthaya – Bangkok
After breakfast, visit important and impressive monuments of Ayutthaya, a World Heritage Site and former capital of Thailand, including Wihan Phra Mongkhol Bophit, Wat Phra Si Sanphet and the grandeur Wat Chai Wattanaram. Lunch in Ayutthaya. Afternoon proceed to visit the summer palace of Ban Pa-In and transfer back to Bangkok.
