Day 1
Bangkok
A day visiting least-visited places in Bangkok and experience various mode of comfortable public transportation for getting around, which helps reducing travel time and avoid heavy traffic. Visit in the morning an old community which is famous for its traditional silk weaving for nearly two centuries.Visit afterwards the Jim Thompson House. This remarkable Thai-style house was the work of Mr. Jim Thompson, an American who came to Thailand at the end of Second World War and revived the Thai silk industry. His house now a museum, has a permanent display of Mr. Thompson's collections of Asian artifacts and may other fabulous antiques. Continue by Skytrain and board a boat for a ride up-river to the big Flower Market, where we will enjoy a walk through Thailand's biggest wholesale market for all kinds of cut flowers and vegetables. Plenty of flower stalls lining Maharat Road near the Memorial Bridge offer colourful and bustling scenes. Continue by Tuk Tuk to Wat Pho to see its great reclining Buddha and elaborated temple complex, then onto the magnificent Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. From there walk through the old commercial district passing the city hall to The Golden Mount to visit its famous gilded stupa which offers a panoramic view from the top. We've included today a sumptuous lunch at a local restaurant, which serves a delicious and authentic Thai cuisine for many decades.
Day 2
Bangkok - Floating Market - Jungle Camp
Drive to Damnoen Saduak for a visit to the most colourful and bustling floating market of the Kingdom. Join the busy activities at the market and take a boat trip to explore closely this unique market. Continue to Kanchanaburi; on arrival board a train for a trip along the historic Death Railway. Experience a train ride through picturesque scenery passing over the original wooden viaducts, built by prisoners of war during WW II. After lunch drive to visit the Hell Fire Pass Memorial and later take a walking tour on the original railway which has not been used since the end of WW II. This is a rare experience to walk from Hell Fire Pass to Hin Tok Station through the forest along historical railway. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch on the terrace at the Jungle Camp overlooking the pristine River Kwai. Late afternoon get on a mountain bike and join a local guide to visit nearby village, famous for bamboo basket weaving. Meet the friendly villagers and we may join them for a basket weaving experience or visit their local farms. Return to the Jungle Camp and afterwards - dinner under the stars.
Day 3
Hin Tok River Camp - Three Pagoda Pass
Today you take a day trip to the small charming village of Sangkla Buri. Drive along the scenic route along the edge of the lake and visit the Mon minority village with its unique way of life. Walk along the longest wooden bridge and pay respect to the sacred Buddhist Temple of Wat Wang Wiwekaram. After lunch at a good local restaurant continue your visit to the Three-Pagoda Pass, a border point between Thailand and Myanmar. See the bustling market place with various exotic products on sale. In the afternoon return to the Jungle Camp with a chance to stop on the way at a beautiful and legendary waterfall. The rest of the afternoon is free. You may enjoy a dip in the cool water or take an optional treatment at the resort's spa.
Day 4
Hin Tok River Camkp - Ayutthaya
After breakfast leave for Ayutthaya via Wat Pa Le Lai in Supanburi. Lunch at a good local restaurant in Ayutthaya famous for its fresh river shrimp and fishes. In the afternoon visit the old capital of Ayutthaya with its impressive ancient ruins, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visits included Wihan Phra Mongkol Bophit, Wat Phra Si Sanphet and the palace ground, Wat Na Phra Mane - the only temple in Ayutthaya that survived the Burmese invasion in the 18th century, and the majestic Wat Chai Wattanaram.
Day 5
Ayutthaya - Khao Yai
In the morning proceed to Khao Yai with a brief stop on the way at Klang Dong fruit market. Arrive at the Khao Yai Winery, which is situated amidst an enchanting scenery. At an elevation of 300 metres above sea level, the 800 acres vineyard yields grapes of highest quality for its famous Pirom and PB Khao Yai red and white wines especially the Chenin Blanc. Visit the vineyard and its winery follows with wine tasting. Later enjoy a mouth-watering lunch complemented by a glass of wine at the vineyard restaurant. Mid afternoon check-in at the resort and relax amidst the beautiful fresh mountain air or visit the adjacent Palio Khao Yai, where there are numerous shops and cafés.
Day 6
Khao Yai National Park
Drive up hill to headquarter of Khao Yai National Park, stop en-route at a view point. Arrive at the visitor center and learn more about the National Park, which is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Continue to the starting point of the Heaw Narok Waterfall Trail. Walk through the rich tropical rainforest and enjoy varieties of flora and fauna as you leisurely trek to visit one of the most impressive warterfalls in the Kingdom. Arrive at the Heaw Narok Waterfall and spend some time there before trekking back to the starting point.
Day 7
Khao Yai - Bangkok Airport
After breakfast check-out and drive back to Bangkok
