Day 1
Bangkok – Floating Market – Kanchanaburi
Drive early monning to Damnoen Saduak for a visit to the most colourful and bustling floating market of the Kingdom. On arrival, join the busy activities at the market and take a boat trip to explore closely this unique market. Continue to Kanchanaburi, on arrival visit the Allied prisoner’s war cemetery, the Thai-Burma Railway Museum, and the much photographed River Kwai Bridge.
Lunch at a good local restaurant, then proceed to visit an ancient Khmer temple of Prasat Muang Singh, or the “lion city”. Later board a train for a trip along the historic Death Railway. Experience a train ride through picturesque scenery passing over the original wooden viaducts, built by prisoners of war during WW II. Drive to an elephant camp for a memorable Night Safari Adventure. You will get close-up to these tame and domesticated elephants and play and bathe with them in the river. You will definitely have a chance to give a good scrub to these elephants under a close supervision of their mahouts (bathing kits for elephants are provided).
Later experience a night safari on the back of a gentle giant into the forest along the River Kwai. You will finish your evening with a sumptuous barbecue dinner in a natural setting on the riverbank.
Day 2
Kanchanaburi – Ayutthaya – Pimai – Korat
On arrival visit the old capital of Ayutthaya with its impressive ancient ruins, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visits included Wihan Phra Mongkol Bophit, Wat Phra Si Sanphet and the palace ground, and Wat Phananchoeng, which is a monastery dated before Ayuttaya was founded as the capital. The principal 19 metres high Buddha image is made of stucco and is the most revered by the inhabitants of Ayutthaya. Continue in the afternoon to Pimai to visit one of the most beautiful and biggest Khmer monuments in Thailand - Prasat Hin Phimai, which was the exemplary model of Angkor Wat.
Day 3
Korat – Phnom Rung – Muang Tam – Pak Thongchai – Khao Yai
Leave after breakfast for Dan Kwian where a stop at the famous pottery village will be made to see the local production of unique pottery and ceramic items. Continue along the Cambodian border to see the Khmer temples of Phnom Rung and Muang Tam, two fine examples of Khmer sanctuaries.
Continue in the afternoon your journey to Khao Yai, with stop on the way at the famous silk workshop in Pak Thongchai. Here you will learn how silkworms are raised and how the silk threads transform into an exquisite textile. Arrive at Khao Yai area in the late afternoon.
Day 4
Khao Yai – Winery Tour – Bangkok
Go for a leisurely walk in the morning and enjoy the fresh air. Proceed to Khao Yai Winery, which is situated amidst the enchanting scenery of PB Valley. At an elevation of 300 metres above sea level, the 800 acres vineyard yields grapes of highest quality for its famous Pirom and PB Khao Yai red and white wines. You visit the great vineyard and its winery followed with a wine tasting. Later enjoy a mouth-watering lunch complemented by a glass of wine at the vineyard’s restaurant. Transfer back to Bangkok
